Biography
Dr. Damle has practiced medicine in hospital and private settings for over 20 years. Her medical expertise is shared with prospective medical doctors as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Damle’s postgraduate medical training began at Medical College, Baroda, India. In the early 90’s, she relocated to New York, where she completed her residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center’s Albert Einstein Cancer Center. During her fellowship, Dr. Damle earned the CIBA-GEIGY Award for excellence in teaching at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Damle has contributed research editorial to clinical publications, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Journal from Scientific American, and BLOOD.
She has also presented research data for such medical organizations as American Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and The Society for the Study of Blood.
Dr. Damle is an active member of ASCO and the American Society of Hematology.
