Biography
Miriam New is a diploma RN graduate from the Riverside School of Nursing. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Science of Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a highly qualified clinician with over 20 years experience working as an RN in Emergency Medicine and Occupational Health. She has also worked in Family Practice and Surgical Oncology as a Nurse Practitioner before joining Virginia Oncology Associates. She is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner certified through ANCC and a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. She has a special interest in the treatment and follow up care of breast cancer patients.

Miriam and her husband Steve have two boys Tyler and Zach. She enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, traveling and reading.
