Biography
Dr. Bremer has conducted Hematology/ Oncology research, with a special focus on breast tumors. Prior to joining Virginia Oncology Associates, Dr. Bremer served as Associate Program Director for the National Capital Area (NCA) Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program in Bethesda, MD. She also supervised the Hematology training of NCA and National Cancer Institute (NCI) fellows for the Navy. She is currently Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Bremer is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialties in Hematology and Oncology. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Society Hematology (ASH). She received the Governor’s Recognition Award from ACP’s Navy Chapter (2006) and the Navy Commendation Medal from the Expeditionary Medical Facility (2007), for superior patient care at Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, Africa. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Susan G. Komen and is part of the Breast and Colon Cancers Committee with Sentara.
A south hampton roads native, Dr. Bremer treats patients at the Princess Anne offices.
